Experience
It is no surprise that I have come to this point of owning my own business, Home Organization and De-cluttering Services. For as long as I can remember, I have been baking, cooking, looking after children and caring for our environment. I am motivated by the desire to leave this planet a better place than when I came into it. That desire has led me to work in a variety of different roles including food services, a nanny, manager of several retail stores, and secretarial and concierge services for retirement home residents. That is where I took a break from the workforce to work harder than ever before with my 3 children.
My role is to look at spaces whether it’s a bedroom, kitchen, garage or family living space and determine if it’s working both in functionality and efficiency based on your lifestyle. Together we can determine what stays, what goes, and create a more functional, usable, and enjoyable place to rest, work, or create. I am both motivated and excited when I can give you more time in your day or simplify your daily routine. For me, being organized makes me a highly productive person every day.
Community Involvement
Lions Club of Canada – DogGuides
For a couple of years now my family has been proud to be part of a the DogGudes of Canada. We have now fostered 2 dogs – GIA graduated in October of 2018 as a Service Dog and is now living in Halifax with her handler. Our second dog Athens is currently going through her formal training. Whether you are seeking the assistance of a Dog Guide, wanting to learn more about what they do, interested in donating, or volunteering your time, you can find the answers to all your questions on the website at: https://www.dogguides.com/index.html
Charitable Giving
A big part of my organizing and decluttering service is the removal of your unwanted items. I believe strongly in reducing waste, keeping material or items out of landfills and reducing our carbon footprint. In addition, I support many charities by donating articles of clothing or household goods to other groups who can turn around and give it a second life.
P.E.O.
I am a third generation, 26-year member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) which raises money to educate women through grants and loans. The organization was founded 150 years ago in the United States and in 2019 celebrated its 100th anniversary in Canada. P.E.O. was created to help educate women and has grown though out North America chapter by chapter helping women all over the world. Several articles have claimed this is ‘the best women’s organization you’ve never heard of.’ If you’re interested in finding out more about this amazing Sisterhood please visit: https://www.peointernational.org/ or wanting to become a member or know a woman who could benefit, please contact me directly.
