Take a Break
For Secondary and Elementary schools in Ontario this week it is time for ‘March Break.’ I look at photos on Facebook and Instagram and see many people who are enjoying the fun and sun of beaches and oceans, skiing the slopes (if you are able to still find snow) or in some cases just taking a break and enjoying activities close to home or just around the house. Although I started March Break with an out of town swim meet for my youngest (where I took some time to swim and relax in the hot tub, and go out for dinner) I have taken some much needed down time for myself and family. For me, I usually get a healthy dose of Netflix watching, other than Tuesday Bootcamp at the YMCA, slept in a little and didn’t have to worry about driving children around. My husband took some time off to work on house projects because he usually doesn’t get a chance on weekends and I also got to a bit of scrapbooking which I love to do. The week can go by very quickly so whether you are travelling, visiting with friends or family, or just ‘hangin’ around the house, take some time for yourself and do something you’ve wanted to for a while now. Rest now because chances are, we’ll all be running until the next break.
