Sisterhood
The other night I hosted a meeting for my women’s group, P.E.O. and I have to say I am always reminded of how amazing this group of women is. All were very tolerant of my crazy new puppy and I think because she’s a girl, thought she was entitled to attend. Having my husband near by who was trying to keep Gia in one room and then also having 3 children come and go through the meeting. Not only do we support women who are in need of assistance when pursuing their dream of further education but we are always there to lend a hand, especially if it’s one of our babies. It was just one day later when one of our sister’s son, who attends Western University was in dire need to get home to Toronto to catch a plane so he could fly to Whales and play rugby for Canada. Without blinking and eye, myself and another sister were trying to figure a bus/train/or even offering the use of a car when his broke down. In the end, he was given a ride half way, met by his mother at the other end and made it to his flight. It’s this kind of selflessness that makes me proud to say ‘I belong to the P.E.O. Sisterhood.’
