50 and Counting!

Well I’m back!!!! I so enjoyed my time away. I was in the UK visiting my childhood friend as we celebrate our 50th Birthday years plus 40 years of friendship!!  Then, I took last week off to get back in the swing of things! It’s funny that I spent 7 days away and 2 weeks

I am looking at everyone’s social media on all their wonderful trips they are on, I’m not envious except maybe for my cousin in Hawaii!!! But

Buy for ‘Cause and Effect’

Last time I wrote about buying local and now I would like to suggest that we buy with a cause in mind or perhaps it’s just a ‘buy-product’ of your shopping and consuming. Either way, ‘It’s a good thing’ to quote Martha Stewart. There are countless businesses and organizations that sell cool products and support

Celebrate Local

Something that I’ve embraced in the last few years is local…shop local, buy local and celebrate local. Everything from farm fresh vegetables, egg and meat suppliers, fruits, honey etc. In addition, micro-brews, cider houses, kombucha, and wineries in my region. Scrap Booking Retreat

Over 10 years ago a friend of mine introduced me to a little gem of a place, tucked into the small town of Chesaning Michigan…Cropping Daze Retreat. At first, we used our 3 day trip to Cropping Daze for 2 reasons…to get away from our young children and the daily grind that comes along with

Come what May

So, it used to be that I really enjoyed the month of May. When I first met my husband (31 years ago!!) I soon found out that his birthday was in the middle of May and we would celebrate. Then, some years later when we were planning our wedding we were thinking of possible dates

The Snow Plow Parent

Recently, one of my kids was  planning to meet with a friend and I realized that things are much different now then when I was growing up, in many ways of course. But what I’m referring to specifically relates to this recent situation. My husband said to me once ‘It didn’t matter where I went
